We are pleased to co-publish a new review article with our collaborator Dr. Asami Oguro-Ando (University of Exeter, UK) in the journal Neuroscience. Led by Dr. Rosie Bamford, a Churchill Fellow who spent some times in the Anggono Lab this year, we propose possible links between contactins and their interactions with amyloid precursor proteins (APP) in the pathogenesis of Alzheimer's disease. Dysregulations of these cell surface recognition molecules may exert negative impacts on APP processing, synaptic plasticity and neuronal integrity. Read also the commentary on our article by Chatterjee and Teunissen.
Interested in our project? We are looking for highly motivated, talented and hard working research students and postdoctoral scientists to join the lab. Potential candidates are encouraged to apply for PhD scholarships / postdoctoral fellowships and contact us.
